Reliability of a 2009 Dodge Charger SXT?

I am currently in the market for a new car. I am considering a 2010 Mazda 3 Hatchback, but I have seen quite a few ads for blowout sales at Chrysler dealerships. Currently they are offering $5,500 in rebates and the dealers seem willing to drop another $3,000 or more on the price (had one give me a price of 17,000 on the base model Charger before even starting to negotiation on price). This would bring this car in the same price range I was looking at for the Mazda or even lower, but I am not sure about reliability. Depending on who I ask or where I look the answer seems to range from 'great, never a problem' to 'wouldn't take it for free'. Seems to have fewer safety features though and may be much less reliable. On the other hand it does look very nice and is a pretty good discount of the sticker. How reliable are these cars?
