Pilot light in gas water heater won't light?

This is a 3 or 4 year old Whirlpool water heater in a rental house. All the other gas appliances work. There is gas going to the regulator but the pilot light will not ignite. I'm pretty sure there is a spark with the ignitor. I've disconnected the 2 pipes going to and from the regulator. It looked like there was a little bit of a clay substance in the supply pipe where it terminates in the regulator. What could be wrong? Could the pipe for the pilot light be clogged or could the thermocouple be bad?

I am 40 yrs old and over the past year or so have increasing severe fatigue, pain and aching in my back, neck, hips and shoulders. I now have about 10 "good" days out of each month. I also have been sick a lot, have had reoccurring shingles. I get hives out in the sun and burn in only a few minutes. And I get weird rashes on my body -usually down my back or my upper neck and chest area. I have low thyroid (but levels are in control with low dose of med) and occasional anemia. I am a healthy weight, healthy diet, and very active but now if I push myself too much with activity I get extremely nauseated. Rheumatoid and Lupus tests came back negative but my Igg (?) was low. Also a few weak positives. My doctor is trying to get me referred to a rheumatologist or immunologist but it has been months going through the hoops with poor medical insurance provider and still trying. Maybe a change in my diet could help if I knew what was wrong? I'm becoming more frustrated by the day.I have 4 months of nursing school left and have got to get better to make it through and finish! Any ideas whats wrong with me? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

I see that Kentwood High School's football program has been great in recent years. Their varsity team went 10-1 (the one loss was in the state playoffs), their JV team has went undefeated in the past nine seasons, but the problem is, their freshman team went 4-6 last year. My question is, will Kentwood's now JV team live up to the hype, is this just a repeating pattern? losing you're freshman season, then going undefeated you're JV season? How can i make my marraige better. we seem to be drifting apart quite a bit. I know we both still love eachother but we dont have alot in common which was never a problem. Reliability of a 2009 Dodge Charger SXT?

I am currently in the market for a new car. I am considering a 2010 Mazda 3 Hatchback, but I have seen quite a few ads for blowout sales at Chrysler dealerships. Currently they are offering $5,500 in rebates and the dealers seem willing to drop another $3,000 or more on the price (had one give me a price of 17,000 on the base model Charger before even starting to negotiation on price). This would bring this car in the same price range I was looking at for the Mazda or even lower, but I am not sure about reliability. Depending on who I ask or where I look the answer seems to range from 'great, never a problem' to 'wouldn't take it for free'. Seems to have fewer safety features though and may be much less reliable. On the other hand it does look very nice and is a pretty good discount of the sticker. How reliable are these cars?

95 jeep wrangler won't start HELP!!!!!?

I have a 1995 jeep wrangler 4 cyl. 2.5L. I cannot get the jeep to start. It cranks and tries but will not turn over. Due to the year and model of this jeep you cannot adjust the timing it is all done by the ECU. If we switch the spark plug wires around 90 Degrees it will start, but sound real rough and as soon as any gas is applied it shuts right off. Is there a way to adjust the timming on the computer or a switch to replace? Help my wife wants this out of my driveway!!!!!

Feather pillows or blankets, pets sleeping in the room, or even dust could be the cause. I would suggest that you wash your pillow cases and blankets, dust around the room, and vacuum. Especially if you have pets. Try that first, and if that doesn't help then try taking an anti-histamine before bed and see if that helps. This will block the histamine receptors so that any allergic reactions will hopefully be prevented, so you won't get the runny nose and sneezing and red watery eyes.

I have a problem. I live in off campus apartments and my recent landlord took $550 out of my security deposit to replace the fridge. However, the fridge still works and only has a dent in it from the counter it was sitting next to. I Just filed it in small claims court, but dont know what legal standing I have. He told me that he got rid of it because the dent made it obsolete, and that people that rent from the complex expect everything to be nice and new. (I was the first tenet in the apartment)

Should I drop out of honors math next year???..?

I went through the same process myself while I was in High School. I was placed in Advanced coursework and forced to take all the honors cles at my school. Personally, I didn't drop any of my cles but I didn't use tutors either. I found it really helped me to find a comfortable studying space and just sit down with my music and try to discern what it was these awful people wanted me to learn. If you don't feel like you're getting it you can always go to your professor and ask away, that's what they're there for. Think of it as a challenge and spur yourself onwards besides if you get B's and A's not only will you feel the fruits of your hard labor paying off but you'll also have patched up that minor hole those 2 C's put in your GPA. Trust me it's not that big a deal. I got a C for the whole year I was taking Trig and later on patched it with an A+ for Pre-calc and Calculus and I got a full scholarship from my University which I am very thankful for. Fix for Small Leak from Power Steering Rack?

I would never put in fluid not specifically made for power steering, it can cause more damage. You can buy power steering fluid with an additive to stop leaks but that just causes the seals to swell a bit. I doubt that any fluid would stop a leak like you described. Talk to a local garage or body repair place about getting a used (as in junk yard) one - might be as little as half-price. Of course you have to be careful as you could get a damaged one, which is why you do not want to do it yourself.

Do floor and wall tiles absorb Adhesive?

there are some adhesive that are used with a latex mixture which will stop the adhesive from actually soaking into the tiles itself. Plus, if you used an old adhesive (sometimes got from the store shelf) that will have condensation (water) inside of the container and that will cause you to apply water to the backs of the tiles. This should dry up, (in the front of the tiles) but if not you may need to pull a few off to replace some. You can do this after grouting, just to make sure the tiles do fade back into color. Of course, not if the entire job is like the affected ones. Then it's other project. Good luck!!!

I have a friend who volunteers with a Greyhound Rescue. They may have different requirements for specific dogs, it just depends on which one you like. I know volunteering with a beagle rescue there is a phone interview, a 4page application, home visit. Some people may lose patience with this procedure but to me this shows of a good rescue trying to place the right dog with the right family. Good for you for looking to rescue!

Question about falling asleep after listening to loud excessive music...?

Tell me if this happens to you: often when I'm about to fall asleep after a day of being exposed to very loud music i.e. an entire night at a dance club or concert, I hear these odd surges of ringing. What is this movie .?

So my stepmom and I were watching Anastasia and it reminded me a lot of a movie I saw a long time ago that I think was also called Anastasia, only it was pronounced Ah-nih-stah-zjuh. I can't find this movie anywhere though, even online. I'm very positive it was animated. There's this one scene stuck in my mind where the main character (umably Anastasia) is starting to have feelings for this one dark-haired guy. However the antagonist of the movie disguises himself as a guy at the dance. In the disguise he had blond hair and I think he called himself Paul. In the climax, Paul either kidnaps Anastasia or the dark-haired guy and the person who isn't kidnapped finds them just as Paul is about to kill the person he kidnapped. I'm not 100% sure that this scene is in Anastasia though. Also, in the Anastasia movie I can't remember, there's a scene where Anastasia is trying to convince this women she's related to that she is the real Anastasia but the women turns her away. Almost in tears, Anastasia starts singing a song that the women recognizes as the song she used to sing to little Anastasia. I can't remember the name of this movie for the life of me. Help please! :)
